National Mass 2026
Our National Mass for Altar Server’s is returning this year to Westminster Cathedral, on the 3rd of October 2026 at 2:30pm.
We are delighted to announce, that our new Superior General of the Guild, His Grace Archbishop Richard Moth will be the principal celebrant at this Mass, himself a server and member of the Guild in his youth.
This Mass is for all servers from England and Wales and further afield, of all ages, parents, clergy and anyone involved in supporting the ministry of Altar Service in parishes and dioceses.

Last year we were in Lancaster, for the National Mass at Lancaster Cathedral, celebrated by Bishop Paul Swarbrick, on a glorious, warm, spring day with hundreds of servers from all over the county in attendance. It was a great occasion to celebrate our ministry, vocation and service to the church and one another. In his Homily at his Installation Mass, Archbishop Moth said:
“The time we have is a gift from God and He calls us, very simply, to use this gift in Service. May our parish communities, our schools, our chaplaincies [...] grow as a School of the Lord’s Service, service of the One who died and rose from the dead for us and Service of those whom we encounter. ”
