September 2026 Registration Now Open
The partnership between the Guild of St Stephen and Maryvale for the ‘Certificate in Altar Server Studies’ is entering its second year, and registration to join the next intake on the course in September 2026 is now open.
The Ordination
The members of the Central Council were pleased to be able to be present and to assist at the Ordination to the Permanent Diaconate of Paul Briers, our Honorary President, in his home Cathedral of St Peter, Lancaster, Lancaster Diocese on 4th July.

The Superior General
On Tuesday 9th June 2026, a small group of members of the Central Council and the National Director travelled to Westminster for a meeting with His Grace, Archbishop Richard Moth at Archbishop’s House.
Southwark Servers Mass 2026
The National Director and Members of the Central Council were pleased to join more than 200 servers from the Archdiocese of Southwark today for the 48th Annual Altar Server Mass at Aylesford Priory, Kent. The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Paul Hendricks.
Hammersmith Organ Donation
The Guild has made a donation of £1,000 to Sacred Heart High School, Hammersmith, in support of their fundraising campaign to restore the historic Loret Organ in the school chapel.
Brentwood Chairman Retirement
A Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated to mark the retirement of John McCormack, Chairman of the Guild of St Stephen in the Diocese of Brentwood.
